Today's Half Nekkid Wednesday's theme is July 15 : Things that start with M or N. Manganese, with the periodic table's symbol of Mn, is today's topic.
Now most people don't manganese, I didn't until I was recruited to head up a marketing campaign for the International Manganese Institute. The institute was fed up with gold, silver, platinum and even aluminium, copper and titanium capturing lots of attention with manganese getting little attention. (It amuses me how Americans pronounce the aluminium word, obviously they pronounce it wrongly!)
Manganese, a hard, brittle and silvery metal, is very useful in making stainless steel. How could we eat without stainless steel unless we had to rely on chopsticks? Manganese, as I found out in my assignment, in making ceramics, glass, fertiliser and rubber products. The International Manganese Institute wanted a campaign to make manganese look sexy. It seems I was their man. And after a substantial fee paid to me, via my agent, I was on my way to Nauru, a small island in the South Pacific Ocean specialising in deep-sea manganese mining.
I was slightly disappointed with the results of my mission in Nauru. The International Manganese Institute commissioned a local artist to make a manganese-coated ceramic of me - see image below! I was horrified that the piece of manganese-coated pottery was me half-naked with a small dick! It's most unbecoming of the man who was the last winner of the site's best cock award. Art doesn't capture reality sometimes!
I was so horrified that I instructed my agent to add a rider to my contract for future jobs stipulating that my cock when artistically represented should be massive!

It's logical to spell aluminium with the extra i. After all, other metallic elements have an -ium suffix like Sodium, Strontium, Uranium, Caesium, and Rhodium. The only exception I can recall is Platinum.
