True story...
It's a chilling tale.
Half asleep, half awake, I could feel the weight of Mr. Butters on my feet, sleeping soundly at the end of the bed.
Attempting to break free, I rolled to my back and slid my feet out from beneath him.
And then it happened...
I felt it before I saw it, the sudden impact of something small landing on my arm.
Immediately jumping to the conclusion it was a spider, my eyes popped open and I swung my arm up to see what it was.
A tiny, little, black beetle clung to my arm skin, slowly crawling it's way up my forearm to my hand.
"Oh my God! Oh my God!!"
Jumping out of bed, I swiped at my arm and flung the stupid beetle to God knows where....
because, that's what a crazy person does when confronted with this type of situation.
A sane person??
A sane person would have transported it outside so it couldn't make its way back onto your arm.
Alas, I digress...
Looking up, I was horrified to find there were 2 more of these little beetles on my ceiling, just waiting for their own opportunity to drop down, in the middle of the night, when I least expect it.
Yah...
That was a fun moment!
Trying to decide if I should strip my bed to ensure there weren't even more beetles that I was unaware of, I grabbed my vacuum and sucked the offenders off the ceiling.
Scanning the rest of the house, I noticed my room wasn't the only room to have these unwelcome guests...
In all, I had 3 more beetles in the living and 2 in the dining room as well.
I'm not certain where they are coming from, but, I'm NOT liking it, folks!
Wish me luck as I try to rid this place of these pesky creatures... Cause, my worst case scenario self is envisioning one of these things land in my mouth as I sleep.
Ack!!

What did Mr Butters do when you jumped out of bed?
He let out a startled meow and jumped off too. He was NOT happy. LOL
They show up at my place every once in a while :/
I think I had a beetle invasion at some point last summer, too.... Or maybe it was stink bugs??

Mr. Smith, from the other side of town, sees the Wishing Star in the sky and makes his wish. He wants the Beatles to come to his house. Little does he know, the Wishing Star is a very poor speller. The sudden inundation of beetles in his home, drives Mr Smith insane. His only solution is to gather the insects, drive across town, pound on a random door, and release the beetles upon some poor, unsuspecting neighbor.
I'd be more than happy to give Mr. Smith his beetles back! LOL
Lol. I get a few small black beetles in my small summer plave in Quebec, but luckily mostly in the kitchen!!
Every year seems to be a new infestation of something else, around here...
Females deposit about a hundred fertilized eggs directly in or near a food source, such as decaying wood, dung, or in kitchen garbage cans. Does yours have a lid?😶

I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I would suggest some bug spray on the outside of the house at the doorways and window frames.
I hadn't thought about that... That's a good idea.
@secret_lade If you want extra strength get some pet friendly bug spray and do the same on the inside of your house.

Yeah the little black and red ones? Just don’t kill em, they eat other insects. Certain times of the year they can get inside, forget what makes them do that.

Apparently, this is the time of year for them to come inside! Ugh... I'm still finding them.
