Does anyone else remember that gritty, little, late night show?
The voyeur in my LOVED that show....
That lil tidbit of knowledge probably speaks volumes of me!
That said....
So, there I was.
Trapped inside, hiding from the Canada Wildfire smoke that was now sitting at ground level, ash floating in the air.
"Oh My GOD! I'm so fucking bored!"
I had half heartedly began sifting through crap I didn't want anymore and started Goodwill piles all over my house....
It was NOT a remedy to the boredom.
"Cripe, just do it. Just open your laptop and do it."
It's funny how you start to openly have conversations with yourself when nobody is around!
Grabbing my laptop, I opened a webpage to my Blog and considered writing.
Eh....
Not in the mood to write.
But......
The dating side.....
In found myself looking at messages I didn't plan on responding to.
"Look no furter, I'm you're mon." - 81 year old man, 190 miles from me
"I can host." - 65 year old man, message containing a dick pick with a really nasty toilet to the side.
"Why won't u respond to my messages?? Womin like u don't belong on this sight!" - 32 year old man, the first few messages contained ONLY a dick pic.
"Hello" - 51 year old man, Someplace in Michigan.
Now, to be honest, I don't normally respond to those messages that come from profiles that are intentionally vague or I can't see them. It usually entails secrecy, ghosting, last minute no shows....
But, this man had messaged me before.
A few times.
Bored enough that I threw caution to the wind, I responded back this time.
"Hello"
We chatted for a while on here, and he'd shared a photo of himself.
Oooh la la! He was total eye candy.
Because they've started to really limit what the Standards can do on here, anymore, we had to take the conversation offline and begin chatting through text. (I've refused to pay for membership for a while now, I just don't think they have made it worth it.)
By the time the conversation had ended, we had made plans to meet up on Sunday and have a lil 'fun'.
Fully expecting to be ghosted at the last moment, or have something 'suddenly' come up, I didn't really put much thought into it....
And, then he texted that he was on the way.
Now I was scrambling.
I had one hour to take a shower and get 'intimacy' ready before this man showed up at my house.
It was a miracle folks....
But, when I saw his smiling face, peering at me through my utility room door, it was all worth it. He looked EXACTLY like his pic, he was genuine and funny, and I didn't get any last minute confessions about how he didn't think he could be with a 'bigger' woman or spur of the moment revelations that he'd had erectile dysfunction for the past 10.
Score!!
It was a pleasant way to spend a Sunday!
My hips, today, on the other hand....
Are telling me they are on strike!

Thank you. I’m just glad he turned out to be a nice, decent guy. I’ve gotten lax on my “getting to know you” phase. I should probably be tightening that back up a lil.

I was certain I would be a victim of the last minute cancellation, as well. Funny thing is, he was feeling certain I would do the same thing. He's had kind of the same luck I’ve had.
