Did you know a group of turkeys is called a 'rafter' of turkeys? Neither did I.....
But, here we are.

It didn't take long for them to realize, however, I had the upper hand, and the ruffian turkeys wandered off, in search of new seed and trouble elsewhere.

The sweet lil black-capped chickadees were next...
Not going to lie, they are my favorites.
Fat, fluffy, friendly....
Everything I could love in a bird! I could sit here and watch them all day.
If you think about it.... They're really a lot like me, only, in bird form.
At the moment, though, we have this guy.
Or girl??
I can't tell...
It's so small....
But he sure is enjoying that discarded seed down there!
I stood in my living room window, about 4 feet from where he was eating, for a full 10 minutes and he didn't eve flinch.
I tapped on the window, didn't even see an ear twitch....
Poor little guy must be hungry.
This has been a hell of a winter so far, I've been seeing deer everywhere.
One of the downfalls of living in my wild kingdom is seeing everything suffer through winter. It can be really hard to witness sometimes.
Lastly, I have a bonus sighting.
This wise, old guy must be getting hungry, himself....
Cause, I spotted him out in the daylight, right next to my house!
He blends in well - but if you look close enough, you'll see the Wise Old Owl!
Fingers crossed he isn't out there after the rabbit that lives under my porch! That's the only thing I haven't actually seen at the feeder today....
I'm going to have to keep an eye out for him now.
I liked that lil rabbit!
I'll be sad if he became lunch.....

My sister used to have a feeder out in the winter, until she saw a bear trying to get to the seeds 😶
I kind of miss northern MI winters. We have winter that lasts for about 2 weeks here. That's enough for me.
Northern Michigan winters suck. I'd settle for a 2 week winter too.

No turkeys in yard, juncos, cardinals, squirrels, and some visiting deer
I never saw deer where I used to live…. I was just amazed when I moved here and seen them every day right in my back yard. I’ve enjoyed it!

I can’t complain, I do enjoy the view.
When I lived in Metro Detroit, I would visit a park where the wild birds would come and eat out of your hand (if you were patient). Chickadees were fearless and very aggressive toward other birds.
I would be watching your wildlife all day!
