This is a great post as it is an observation which I fully support... Of course, if I were to disagree, it would be a bad post... lol Keep up the good work.

You know this is something I sometimes ponder. I often wonder at some responses to my blog if they actually udnerstand the underlying query... and I think I'm quite effective at writing

That's why I tend to shy away from writing "non-fiction" posts. I'm a poor writer when tackling such things. I know I'm at my best when I write fiction, and I can express deeper thoughts more eloquently that way. Thoughts from the Garden...

Thank you Lala, but I think there will always be that male/female divide even in sparse clear prose lol But I take your observation as I tend to leave the questions open for female feedback

i'm with wanton. most people are just waiting for you to shut up so they can talk. i love listening to people tell stories, i get so much more information about them than if i ask a question with a finite answer. your rambles are more informative, more interesting and more appealing ....they leave space for people to respond in such a variety of ways. You cannot conceive the many without the one.

All I can say hun is COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION. But I know you already know this Happy Sunday!!!

As Deviant mentioned, written communication is tough. Sometimes just letting someone ramble is vastly more informative that even the most carefully crafted questions. Hurricane Stress Walter Becker Three Ts, on HNW [post 3312759] My Private Blog - Tell Me ALL Your Secrets

The faulty ability to communicate is part of the human condition and the Mars Venus thing is part of the human condition too. Which language, spoken or written, doesn't really change that. Not listening, talking over someone or constantly interrupting are part of that too - along with being rude. But many people don't really understand that or see that they are doing it. "you and I know that men and women often interpret each other's words differently." Yes we do, that's why I skipped over the obvious and went to the why of it. Great post Lala, I agree things often get lost in the translation, my thinking is because people (both men and women) often only take what they wish to take from the comment or post and not the entire statement. I find in this age of instant gratification people often have little or no patience. They tend to be in a rush to meet, they don't really want to know the person, only what the person can give them. This is one reason I find it very difficult to form even friendships here, let alone anything more.

Obviously, you misunderstood and thought I dismissed the point my entire post. But, technically, we were in sync, which, obviously, goes against the theme of the post. Get it? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I'm just going to sit in the corner and watch...and listen...to all of you.

Here and elsewhere, the lack of a sarcasm font (lol and 😏 doesn't always work) tends to cause some to take what is written too seriously leading to miscommunication. True test of compatibility is getting each other's sense of humor.

I just heard on the radio a line from a VERY good song that may sum up the general human communication issue. It is from Pink Floyd's "Learning To Fly" - "Tongue tied and twisted just an earth bound misfit, I" When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
